
Fernando Carnaúba graduated first in his class in Economics at the University of São Paulo (USP), where he also received the prize for best monograph of his cohort. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Economics, also at USP. In the past Fernando conducted research on the K-12 racial score gap, and on the effects of affirmative action in Brazil. For his Master's dissertation, he is investigating the impact of K-12 grading patterns on student learning. In the professional sector, he worked as a financial analyst at Blackwood Advisory, and as a data analyst at Geekie, an education startup in Brazil.
