The 2017 Lemann Dialogue explores Turning Points in different areas of Brazilian public policy, as well as politics, the economy, and entrepreneurship. Presenters will explore pathways for navigating challenges and opportunities that Brazil faces. The Lemann Dialogue is an annual conference on Brazil, collaboratively organized between four universities with Brazil Centers endowed by Jorge Paulo Lemann (at the University of Illinois, Columbia University, Harvard University, and Stanford University), and in collaboration with the Lemann Foundation. The Dialogue's themes vary each year, but focus on contemporary social, economic, and political challenges in Brazil. Speakers at these conferences include faculty from the four collaborating institutions, as well as scholars, policymakers, and other experts from Brazil. The conference showcases innovative research on Brazil, builds connections between academic institutions, and connects scholars and public policy experts.
