Raphael Bruce

Raphael Bruce is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of São Paulo (USP). He holds a Master's Degree in Economics (completed in 2015 also at USP), and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) completed in 2013. He has also worked for the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI/PUC-Rio) and as a consultant for the World Bank. His research focuses on development economics, political economy and impact evaluation of public policies.

Robert Verhine

Bob Verhine is Full Professor of Education in the School of Education at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and, in addition, is member of the Fulbright Commission of Brazil and founding member of the Academy of Sciences of the State of Bahia. In the past, he has served as Vice Provost (Pró-Reitor) of Graduate Study at UFBA, Scientific Director of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Bahia (FAPESB), President of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CONAES), and CAPES/MEC representative for the field of Education.
