She holds a PhD in Education from the Faculty of Education of the University of São Paulo, in the area of science and mathematics teaching, and a Master's degree in Education, in the area of didactics at the same institution. She completed a specialization and improvement course in Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at USP, graduated in Bachelor's Degree and received a full degree from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters in Moema. She is executive director of Instituto Reuna and founder of Instituto Mathema for training and research. She is an advisor to the São Paulo State Board of Education. She was Secretary of Basic Education at MEC and member of the National Council of Education. She was a high school mathematics teacher in the state public network of São Paulo, advised on the development of the pedagogical and teacher training project for the Salesiana Schools Network between 2002 and 2015. She was a teaching and research technician at the Center for the Improvement of Mathematics Teaching at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of USP (CAEM-IME-USP). She coordinated the specialization courses: Fundamentals of Teaching Mathematics in São Paulo and Challenges of Early Childhood Education in Jundiaí, both in partnership with the University of Franca-UNIFRAN. She is the author of several publications in the area of expertise and experience in the area of Mathematics Education, working mainly on the following topics: New High School, National Common Curricular Base, Assessment, Curriculum, Teacher Training and Mathematics Education.
