Bachelor and Licentiate in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Specialist in Gender Studies by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). Master in Education from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos) having completed a doctoral internship at the Laboratoire Éthique Médicale of the Université Paris Descartes - Sorbonne (PARIS V) and Center dÉtudes sur l'Actuel et le Quotidien (CEAQ-Sorbonne). She was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's College of Education. She is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the UNESCO Chair in Distance Education, PPG Professor in Human Rights and Citizenship at the University of Brasília (UnB), and Guiding Professor at the National School for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (ENDICA/UnB). She is also an evaluator for the Secretariat for Vocational and Technological Education (MEC) and for Irish Research Council Projects. She was a consultant for UNESCO and a researcher at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), an Educational Evaluator at the Ministry of Education, a Researcher at the Ministry of Human Rights, the Ministry of Social Development and Fight against Hunger in Brazil, and the Institute for Research and Statistics of the Federal District. She also served as a Substitute Professor at the University of Brasília (UnB), at UFRGS and at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), and as a Professor at the Faculty of Law of Santa Maria (FADISMA). She is an associate editor of Frontiers in Sociology (A1) and Frontiers in Psychology (A1) and a member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA). She was one of the researchers responsible for drawing up the current National Plan to Combat Violence against Children and Adolescents in Brazil (2022). Organizer of three recently published books: Cities, Violence and Gender: Findings and Concepts of the 21st Century (Frontiers Media SA, 2022), Juventudes, Educação e Interculturalidade (Editora Fi, 2022) and Restorative Justice and Socio-Educational System: Practices and Possibilities ( Effect Seven, 2022). Author of the book Young people and the street: trajectories of the homeless (Appris, 2014).
