Expanding Partnerships with Public Schools in São Paulo
Partners in Education (Parceiros da Educação), in its 15th anniversary, decided to expand its scope from the current 220 public schools to more than 600 units over the next three years - focusing in partnering with low performing regional offices (Diretorias Regionais).
The objective is to gain (approximately 500k middle and high school student)- which could actually positively impact the State's educational indexes. An additional goal of the program is to significantly increase the universe of partners, thus enhancing the number supporters for public education reform in São Paulo.
Jair Ribeiro, visiting scholar at the Lemann Center, and the founder and president of Parceiros da Educação, will conduct the discussions.
