About the presentation:

This presentation examines an ongoing study on how professionals working in the Regional Education Offices of the state of São Paulo use the results of the Prova Paulista to support public state schools. Introduced in 2023, Prova Paulista is a bimonthly large-scale digital assessment administered to students from 4th to 12th grade, replacing the former Avaliação da Aprendizagem em Processo (AAP). Based on 20 semi-structured interviews with professionals from six Regional Education Offices, the presentation discusses how this assessment is implemented and the main ways in which its results are used by these offices.
