
About Professor Daniel Morales-Doyle
Daniel Morales-Doyle is an associate professor of science education at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). His work focuses on the sociopolitical dimensions of science curriculum, teaching, and teacher education. His 2024 book Transformative Science Teaching: A Catalyst for Justice and Sustainability was published by Harvard Education Press as a resource for secondary science teachers. In 2024, Morales-Doyle spent a semester as a visiting professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago and he was a high school teacher in the Chicago Public Schools for more than a decade before coming to UIC.
