The presentation will address the trajectory of the State Department of Education of Espírito Santo, Brazil in the implementation of evidence-based educational policies, highlighting the importance of a management that integrates values and innovation. The focus will be on practices that have promoted significant improvements in educational indicators in Espírito Santo.

About Vitor de Angelo
PhD in Social Sciences, with a postdoctoral degree in Political Sociology from the Université de Paris Ouest-Nanterre. Full professor of the Graduate Program in Political Sociology at Vila Velha University and visiting professor of Public Management at the Dom Cabral Foundation. He worked as a professor and researcher at the Federal University of Uberlândia, at SciencesPo Paris and at the Federal University of Espírito Santo. He is currently Secretary of State for Education of Espírito Santo and president of the National Council of Secretaries of Education (Consed). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Carmélia Foundation, of the Superior Council of the College of Music of Espírito Santo, of the Regional Council of the Social Service of Industry (SESI/ES), of the Strategic Advisory Council of the Ayrton Senna Institute and of the Comunidad Araucaria - Ministers of Education of Latin America. He also holds the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Vila Velha University for his work in the educational area.
