About Nina Rentel

Nina Rentel Scheliga holds a degree in Political Science from Carleton University and Public Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Throughout her academic journey, she focused on themes of poverty alleviation, housing, and community development. She served as the executive director of the organization TETO, which operates in over 19 countries in Latin America. Since 2020, she has been working at the organization Gerando Falcões, where she currently serves as the director of social technologies, overseeing the Favela 3D project aimed at breaking the cycles of poverty in favelas throughout Brazil and cocreated the organization poverty graduation program.
