Paula Louzano is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of São Paulo School of Education. She holds a MA in International Comparative Education from Stanford University and a doctoral degree in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University. Her research interests include equality of educational opportunities, and design, implementation and evaluation of educational policies in Brazil and Latin America. She has conducted research on teacher education and professional development, curricular policies and is leading a government-funded study on teacher practices and educational opportunities in Brazil. Her prior experience includes working at UNESCO Bureau of Education for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile and serving as a consultant for several non-governmental organizations and governments in Brazil. She has also worked as a consultant for international organizations such as UNESCO, IDB and the World Bank.
