Marsílea Gombata is a visiting scholar at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education (GSE), researcher at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP) and Center for Research in International Relations (NUPRI) at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), and professor of international relations at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP). She holds a BA in Social Communication (UERJ) and a master’s and PhD in Political Science (USP). Her current research agenda seeks to understand the linkages between education, political economy, and the crisis of democracy in Latin America. She also works for Valor Economico, the leading financial newspaper in Brazil.
