Leandro Costa received his doctoral degree in Economics from the Federal University of Ceara - UFC/CAEN (Brazil, 2010), and he was a Visiting Graduate Student at the University College London - UCL (UK, 2008). His research focuses on economics of education and public policy evaluation, particularly in the Brazilian education. Sample past projects include an examination of the partial identification of Brazilian private schools effect, and an evaluation of the effect of the higher level of job security of Brazilian teachers on students achievement. Also, he has experience working as a Public Policy Analyst at the Research Institute of Ceara – IPECE and as Education Specialist consultant of the World Bank at the Brazil office. He holds a BSc and MA in Economics, both from the Federal University of Ceara.
