
Allison Hirata is a Joint MA Education/MBA student, class of 2016, at Stanford University. He is the co-founder of B8 Educational Projects, a Brazilian educational nonprofit organization that has identified, advised and encouraged K-12 students to pursue excellence in education since 2007. He is one of the organizers of the national versions of two international scientific Olympiads, IJSO (International Junior Science Olympiad) and IYPT (International Young Physicists' Tournament). Previously, Allison worked for three years in management consulting, as a teacher assistant for two years, and in the public sector, at the Sao Paulo State Department of Education. Allison earned his Master's degree in Engineering at Ecole Centrale de Lille (France) and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil), where he graduated top of his class.
