Alfredo Sandes Sampaio is a highly accomplished individual with a wealth of experience in the fields of education, technology, and private equity. He is a Director at Advent International Corporation in São Paulo, Brazil and a Strategic Advisor at Medway, a leading edtech company.
Alfredo has a Masters in Learning, Design and Technology from Stanford University and a Bachelor in Electronics Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica. He is a member of the Transformative Learning Technologies Laboratory, the Lemann Center for Entrepreneurship and Educational Innovation in Brazil, and the CFA Society.
At Advent, Alfredo leads coverage for Educational Technology investments. He has successfully led the investment in YDUQS, Brazil’s largest higher education company, and executed the acquisition of Hardwork Medicina, Adtalem Brazil Group, Unitoledo, Grupo Athenas, QConcursos, and Easynvest. Alfredo is also the head of Advent's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion recruitment committee.
At Medway, Alfredo advises on the development of solutions and the digitization of educational content. He also founded PEP, a hands-on, problem-solving-based course geared towards equipping young professionals for a career in Private Equity investing, and served as a Board Member at FSG, one of the largest education institutions in South Brazil.
